Sometimes you have to leave your life to find yourself again...

A lonely corporate wife who runs away from home. An elderly woman facing a devastating loss. A top executive adrift in the world after he’s fired. Set on beautiful Pawleys Island, South Carolina, here is a novel about second chances occurring at the most inopportune times in life. In three parallel journeys Joanna, Paul and Grace walk away from lives they thought they wanted, only to rediscover a part of themselves they’d all but forgotten.

I hope you enjoy seeing the pictures of many of my events on this page. Being a writer can be lonely,it's just you and your computer for months at a time, as you create your cast of characters and all of the things that will happen to them. But a funny thing happens somewhere between the first and second draft. The characters become real, like friends and family. And suddenly, you're not so alone each morning when you sit down to the keyboard once again.

But I love when a novel is finished and it's time for it to go out into what I call "Readerland." When the novel debuts, it's fun time, meeting readers and traveling the country, my favorite part! I'm a people person and I love meeting book clubs and readers at signings, or talking at events about the publishing and writing world. I love to hear what YOU think about my characters and stories. It's an amazing feeling as we talk about Grace or Paul or Joanna, and now Claire and Fanny and John, who have become as real to you as they are to me. What magic this whole endeavor is and I am blessed to be a part of it.

Stay tuned as my summer 2009 tour begins, as I'll be posting lots of new pictures. And I hope I get a chance to meet so many of you who have been kind enough to write to me and tell me how much you loved reading THE RICHEST SEASON. I'm truly anxious to hear what you think of SO HAPPY TOGETHER. I think it's a story that women of any age will relate to. The idea for it was inspired by an event in my own life, although it is totally fiction.

If you happen to have any pictures you'd like to share, please send them to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I'll be happy to post them.

HAPPY READING!
